Properties: colorless transparent sticky liquid or
orthorhombic
crystal, odorless, strong sour smell, melting point:42.35 ℃, becomes metaphosphoric acid heated to 300 ℃ , relative density: 1.834, easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, can irritate skin to cause inflammation and damage the tissue, with erosion effect when heated in porcelain, with hygroscopicity .
Technical indexes: industrial grade phosphoric acid is used to phosphatize metal surface, make up elctrolytic polishing solution and chemical polishing solution, and produce phosphoric acid refractory mortar, inorganic cementing medium and all kinds of phosphate, used as catalyst, desiccant, rinse-solution, and in paint industry used as antirust paint for metal; food grade phosphoric acid is used as souring agent, yeast nutrient, used in flavoring, cans and souring agent of cooling drink, and used as yeast nutritious source when brewing wine to prevent from multiplication of harmful bacteria.
